Hi, I am Gareth. I am mid thirties (still, just), reasonably intelligent, kind of entertaining, not irredeemably evil. Actually, I am kind of a nice guy, interested in almost anything and a decent conversationalist.

I am tall, have all my own teeth, hair and limbs and have been told that I am "not hideous". High praise indeed. I preened for hours afterwards.

I enjoy all the things that you are supposed to write in these things to appear interesting ("Japanese Noh theatre reinterpretations of Musicals? Where do I sign up?"), honest. Well, I like the idea of most of them, beaches at sunset and all. Not sure about rock climbing, not too good with heights, but will try anything once except Morris Dancing.

Things that I KNOW I like include theatre, museums, cinema, many and varied sorts of music (mostly those forms that use actual instruments though) and surprisingly helping and opinionating on clothes shopping trips.

So, I am getting a little embarrassed about writing "I", so I shall leave it there for the moment.

I always try to find fun in anything but I really enjoy going to the Theatre, Cinema or Museums, urban walking, taking classes for the fun of it, writing (well, trying to write a novel - profile for me = not so much fun) and will try anything if the person suggesting it is enthusiastic about it!

Sparks and chemistry aside, quirkiness and individuality are very attractive. Appreciating things that aren't necessarily to your taste is also attractive. Aloofness and prudishness are deeply unattractive qualities.

So, ideally, I am looking for a punky, enthusiastic, exhibitionistic, tattooed, open minded, glasses wearing, degree holding, stylistic chameleon librarian with a taste for a very varied life who is interested in a committed relationship and maybe even kids one day.
